Evaluation: The Rules Governing the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission allow for an evaluation of a judge only if a judge has served at least two years in the current position or has sufficient data to achieve a statistically valid sample. Judge Briana Zamora has served on the Second Judicial District Court since January 2013, which does not allow enough time or sufficient data for the Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission to evaluate her prior to the November 2014 election.
Experience & Education: Judge Briana Zamora was elected in 2012. She started her judicial career in 2009 when she was appointed to the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court Bench and served until she was elected to the District Court. She has assisted with the 2nd Judicial District Court’s Drug Court Program and the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court’s Homeless Court and Courts to School Programs. She received her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University and her law degree from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2000.
