Please Vote in the Upcoming Judicial Retention Elections
This election year, voters will be asked whether to retain 2 appellate judges and as many as 76 district court judges. These judges must receive 57% voter approval to remain on the bench.
To help voters make informed decisions, the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation will release its evaluations on whether to retain these judges on September 18, 2008. Please check back at this website on or after that date for more information. And, please vote in all elections for which you are eligible – including judicial retention elections.
Absentee voting begins October 7, 2008.
Early voting begins October 18, 2008.
The General Election is November 4, 2008.
