Make your voice heard.  If you receive a survey, please complete it and return it.

In 2010, the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission (JPEC) will release its evaluations on whether to retain as many as two Supreme Court justices, two Court of Appeals judges and 19 Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court judges. These judges must receive 57% voter approval to remain on the bench.

In order to prepare its evaluations, JPEC is sending surveys to individuals who have come in contact with these justices and judges, including attorneys, court staff, individuals who have served as jurors, and resource personnel including, but not limited to, officers of police departments, the sheriff’s department, and animal control and fire departments.

If you receive a survey, please take a few moments to fill it out and return it promptly.  Remember, the more surveys we receive, the more information JPEC has upon which to base valid, accurate recommendations to voters.
