On Friday, Sept. 19, 2014 at 10 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time, the New Mexico Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission will release its evaluations on nearly 90 judges standing for retention in the 2014 general election. We will also launch a new, more responsive website with evaluations that will be readable on computers, tablets and smart phones.

Our evaluations will include one supreme court justice and three court of appeals judges who are standing for retention statewide, district court judges in 13 judicial districts throughout New Mexico and metropolitan court judges in Bernalillo County. Under state law, these individuals must receive 57% voter approval to remain on the bench.

Also, please remember these important dates for the 2014 general election and make your voice heard! Vote in ALL elections for which you are eligible, including the judicial retention elections.
